Framework Laptop 13 DIY Edition

Most early personal computers were modular affairs, allowing users to replace and upgrade components as needed. As time went on, things became more and more locked in, to the point that modern MacBooks offer zero user-upgradable parts. In the name of both sustainability and customization, Framework aims to change the situation with its Laptop 13 DIY Edition. Aside from the aluminum housing, trackpad, and 13.5" display, nearly every component is customizable and upgradable, including the mainboard, memory, storage, keyboard, bezel, and ports, the latter handled by a set of expansion cards that also support added storage. Both Intel Core and AMD Ryzen chipsets are offered, and for those not looking to build their own out of the box, the company offers pre-built configurations.
