Jeanneau yacht 55 Sailboat
eanneau Yacht's 55 sailboat follows the 60 and 65 as the smallest of the trio — but with space and amenities more like a catamaran than a monohull. Jeanneau brought in designers Philippe Briand for the hull and Andrew Winch for the interior, continuing the combination of excellence that they brought to the larger 60 and 65. The 55 uses a vacuum-infused glass-reinforced fiber hull with self-aligning rudders and an in-mast furling mainsail and furling jib with self-tacking, making the 55 easy to sail without a full crew. Quality of life onboard the 55 is second to none, with a beam of just over 16 feet. The aft deck offers a U-shaped arrangement starboard and an L-shaped couch to port, with both convertible from tables to sun pads, and a transom that opens into a large swim platform. Below deck, windows and skylights allow in plenty of light for an open-air feel. A well-equipped galley, dinette with L-shaped seating, and height-adjustable tables complement a full-beam owner's cabin. The Jeanneau 55 is available now.
